Cindy Gallagher was born in Hood River, Oregon, near Mt. Hood.
The ninth child, the baby of two boys and seven girls. Cindy
explains "we lived right next to the river. It was an
exciting life living near the river. Like "The little
house in the big woods . We moved to San Diego, California
when I was five years old. Then back to Oregon in 1959. I
am still called the baby sister.
Now that I am all grown up, I am a mother of two boys and
two girls, and seven grandchildren. I love being a mom, but
being a grandma is the best.
I am so very excited to be here with you at the Kearns Center.

Linda grew up in South Salt Lake. She was the middle of seven
children. In 1970 she married her beloved Clyde. He was the
boy next door from he r childhood. By this time Clyde had
been married and had kids. So, Linda not only got a loving
husband but six wonderful stepchildren to boot. Then Linda
was blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby girl, who Linda
still refers to as her "baby". Her "baby"
has given her three grandkids.
In 1985 Linda lost her Clyde. She eventually found her way
to the Senior Employment Program. This program helps people
55 and older receive training they need to enter into today's
workforce.
Linda is a happy vibrant woman with a zest for life. If you
haven't met her yet, feel free to drop in and have a cup of
coffee with her.
